Spot something on your site that needs attention — a washed-out access road, a fence that moved, a question about what a scan is showing? The Issues tab in your dashboard is a shared, tracked to-do list between you and our team. You report it, we work it, and everyone can see where it stands.
What the Issues tab is for
Open Issues from the sidebar to see every open item across your projects in one place. Think of it as a running punch list: each issue has a priority, a status it moves through, and its own comment thread so the whole conversation lives with the item instead of getting lost in email.
This is different from the pins and notes you drop inside a map or 3D model. A note is stuck to an exact spot in the viewer; an issue is a project-level, tracked item your team follows from start to finish. Use a note to point at this exact corner; use an issue when you want something logged, prioritized, and worked to done. (For pins and notes, see Drop pins and add notes.)
Report an issue
- Open the Issues tab and click Report Issue (top right).
- Fill in the short form:
- Title — a brief summary (required). - Project — pick which project it belongs to (required). - Description — what you noticed, where it is, and any context. - Priority — Low, Medium, High, or Critical (defaults to Medium).
- Click Submit Issue. You'll see a confirmation, and the issue lands in our queue for our team to investigate.
That's it — you don't need to assign anyone or set a status. It starts as Open, tagged with your name, and we take it from there.
Follow it from Open to Resolved
Every issue moves along a simple pipeline:
Open → In Progress → Resolved → Closed
Our team advances the status as we work, so you always know where things stand at a glance — you don't move it yourself. The four cards at the top of the tab show a live count for each stage, and clicking a card filters the list to just those issues. There's also a priority filter if you want to zero in on the Critical items first. When we put someone on it, you'll see who's handling it right on the issue.
Tip: Tap any issue in the list to open its full detail — description, priority, current status, and the whole comment history.
Talk it through in comments
Open an issue and scroll to Comments to keep the back-and-forth in one place:
- Type your message in the Add a comment box.
- Click Comment (or press Command/Control + Enter) to post it.
Your comments are stamped with your name and the time, and posting one keeps our team in the loop so nothing slips. Use it to add a photo of what you saw, answer a question we asked, or confirm something's fixed before it's closed.
A quick note on accuracy
The maps and models behind your issues are engineering-grade drone mapping and photoreal scans — a precise visual record of your property, not a legal land survey (Embry doesn't perform land surveys). The Issues tab is the best place to ask us anything about what a scan is showing.
