Custom Manufacturing
Scan anything from a fence post to a property. Print anything from a replacement part to a terrain relief. Drone scale, handheld scale, or no-scan-needed — same workflow. Currently in active R&D.
Where we are
Custom Manufacturing is in active R&D — we're testing drone-scale and handheld scanners alongside the print pipeline across pilot jobs in Central Texas. If you have a part, piece, or property you want captured or fabricated, we'd like to talk. Early engagements become design partners on the broader workflow.
Two scales of 3D capture, one shop
Most shops do macro or micro. We do both. The right tool for the geometry, then printed on the same gear.
Drone Photogrammetry
Property and structure scale — acres to hundreds of acres
Our drone fleet captures large-scale 3D geometry: terrain, buildings, vehicles, and any object too big to bring indoors. Sub-3cm RTK accuracy.
Handheld 3D Scanner
Object scale — ~10cm up to a few meters
Portable scanner for parts, sculptures, artifacts, and small assemblies. We bring it to you or you bring the object to us.
What we make
The shape of the work. If your need doesn't fit a category, start a conversation anyway — most projects are some custom mix.
Part Replication
Broken part with no replacement available and no CAD file? We scan what you have, clean up the mesh, and print a working copy.
- •Discontinued legacy components
- •Custom brackets and mounts
- •Replacement fittings for vintage equipment
Prototype Development
Go from idea sketch to held-in-hand prototype in days. Iterate fast, test fit, refine, repeat — without waiting on overseas tooling.
- •Product enclosures and housings
- •Mechanical fit-check parts
- •Design validation models
Mapping Data Prints
Turn a drone map into a physical relief of the property. Boardroom centerpieces, investor gifts, marketing pieces, and family heirlooms.
- •Terrain relief prints from RTK photogrammetry
- •Property and ranch models for closings or open houses
- •Historical site preservation pieces
Custom Fabrication
Open-ended. If you can describe it, scan it, or sketch it, we can probably print it. Tell us what you're trying to make.
- •One-off art and sculpture
- •Custom-fit accessories and adapters
- •Educational and display models
How a project moves
From the first conversation to a finished piece — usually within a week or two for straightforward work, longer for complex prototypes and multi-part assemblies.
Capture or Provide Geometry
Drone scan, handheld scan, your existing CAD/STL, or a sketch and conversation if you don't have files yet.
Mesh Cleanup & Print Prep
We clean, repair, and optimize the geometry for printing — close holes, rebuild the surface where needed, scale, orient, and add supports.
Print & Finish
Print in the right material for the job. Optional post-processing: sanding, painting, sealing, or assembly.
Delivery
Pick up locally or shipped. We also archive the print-ready file so reprints and revisions are fast and cheap.
Why combine scanning and printing under one roof
Most 3D printing shops want a clean STL from you. Most scanning services hand you raw mesh and wish you luck. We bridge the gap: scan, clean, repair, optimize, print, finish — under one workflow with one point of contact.
Pairing a drone (macro) with a handheld scanner (micro) means we can capture anything from a property to a part — and the same team that maps your property can also make you a physical model of it.
Got something you need scanned, printed, or both?
Bring us a broken part, a sketch, a site to map, or just an idea. We'll tell you what's realistic and how to get there.
